Join the Fun! Improve your piloting skills, practice navigation, learn more about your aircraft, and go back to basics. Its Fun, Educational and Challenging!

Pilot and passenger required. Upon arrival, participants will be given a course of approximately 150 nm to fly. The winning competitor will come the closest to their estimated fuel bun over the entire course and there actual speed in knots.

Cash prizes for First, Second and Third place winners.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CFI to help a student pilot learn more about navigation, flight planning, fuel consumption and estimating time over a course. It is a great exercixe in pilotage and dead reckoning. It is a terrific way to learn more about what your aircraft can do.

Applicants must be 99's with membership of 6 months minimum, a resident of FL, current medical, logbook last 6 months, proof of ground school or other ratings, and 2 letters of reference. Scholarship funds are paid to your instructor or school in two payments of $1k with proof of new skills and updates on progress. October 31, 2026 is a hard deadline ladies, please don't wait to apply!!!!!

The ARC Air Derby is a worldwide, 1-day challenge where you design your own route and test your flight planning, navigation, and piloting skills against time and precision. Fly from your home airport, pick your waypoints, and compete with pilots around the globe!

 Teams are made of at least 2 pilots (must include at least one female pilot)

 Open to almost any airplane under 12,500 lbs (Light Sport & Experimental welcome!)
