Congratulations to Tiki Kames

The Ninety-Nines and Treasure Coast 99's would like to give a huge shout out to Ms. Tiki Karnes who just earned her A&P certificate so that she can move forward with her ambition to fly the Missionary Flights International (MFI) DC3.  Tiki received a Treasure Coast 99s scholarship to obtain her PPL at age 17, that also helped her onto her IFR soon after that. Before leaving for A&P School at Missionary Maintenance Services up in Michigan for a year she also completed her Commercial license as well.  MFI pilots must also be certified mechanics because the planes are used to reach remote regions like Haiti and the Dominican Republic that do not have maintenance facilities.  Her father Phillip Karnes, an MFI pilot, is her mentor as well as the TC 99's of course!
