Future Woman Pilot Program

Too often, learning to fly is a solitary effort. You think "Has anyone else ever experienced the same problems I'm now facing?" The answer is YES. "Will I ever do this maneuver right?" The answer is YES. "I wish I could talk to other women who have gone through this." YOU CAN.

99s members have histories and achievements flying every type of aircraft, from the space shuttle to tail-draggers. Whether it's career flying, air racing, soaring, aerobatics, or ballooning - you name it, there's a 99 doing it! And we've been through the same trials and tribulations when learning to fly, achieve advanced ratings and advance our careers - so we understand your concerns as a student pilot.

Good news! As a student pilot, you can now join The Ninety-Nines as a Future Woman Pilot. All you need is a current medical certificate or equivalent document for non-US applicants. You can remain a Future Woman Pilot for up to three years or until you receive your pilot's license, when you can update your status to a "99" membership and receive all the benefits of being a full member.

More good news is that by joining as a Future Woman Pilot you can apply for The Ninety-Nines Future Woman Pilot Award, which goes towards training for your private pilot certificate. You also start accumulating time towards the one-year waiting period required to apply for an Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarship! When you receive your license, you can update your membership to "99," ready to help other future women pilots.

With The Ninety-Nines, you are in the company of friends. You receive understanding, encouragement and strength. You can participate in 99s sponsored flying activities, aviation education, and community service. So, join The Ninety-Nines and truly understand the magic and camaraderie of women pilots!
